River Jam is an annual ticketed outdoor event benefiting the Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island. This year features live music from Route 66, catered dinner, and a live auction with tickets to weekend getaways, and unique dining experiences.
Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to learn about the vital work of the Wildlife Clinic through educational animal encounters. See you there!

Moving Forward After Loss

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
We will forever treasure our son Brian. We will always associate his sudden passing with our yearly River Jam for The Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island, as it came just hours before our 4th fundraiser on August 23, 2024. With no time to process our loss, we were blessed to have family, friends and volunteers from the Wildlife Clinic step up and get us through that awful day. Our host and neighbor, Greg Spier grabbed the reins for us then, and has done the same for River Jam '25. Moving forward after such a loss is hard, and it's easy to remain stuck in a cycle of sadness. Sharing details of Brian's life helped us to break that cycle His affinity for wild creatures, specifically ducks, were part of his life at home. Stafford Springs, CT is where Brian bought his first home, which came with a pond and several ducks. He saw the need for their care and worked continuously to improve conditions for them and their offspring. It also served as a crash course in animal care, and the commitment it took to provide for his critters
